Abstract. The native and foreign literature does not cover the issue of metastasis of lung cancer in the ipsilateral lobar lymph nodes (№12), however, there is the possibility of micrometastasizing, which can result in further development of the disease caused by these lymph node groups’ failure. This work contains a retrospective study of 5-year survival of 1324 patients, depending on the volume of surgery (lobectomy, pneumonectomy) and the impact of the ipsilateral lobar lymph node dissection, certainly performed in pneumonectomy. According to the results, ipsilateral lobar lymph node dissection's indications are: the peripheral lung cancer without regional lymph nodes lesion (No), the central lung cancer without or with lesion of regional lymph nodes of the first level (N0-1), regardless of the primary tumor spread and size (Tx), morphological type, histopathological degree of differentiation (Gx), lesion side, tumor localization.

CLINICAL EVALUATION OF GENE MUTATIONS IN K-RAS PATIENTS WITH COLORECTAL CANCER
Abstract. One of the most significant events in the molecular pathogenesis of colorectal cancer is a mutation in the gene K-ras. Data on the prognostic significance of tumor gene mutations are contradictory and are subject to debate.
A MODERN APPROACH TO THE TREATMENT OF COLORECTAL CANCER. TARGETED THERAPY FOR METASTATIC COLORECTAL CANCER
Abstract. In connection with the development of new possibilities of choice of tactics and approach to the therapy of metastatic colorectal cancer opened the prospects for long-term management of this category of patients. All this allows to change the concept of therapy, moving with metastatic colorectal cancer from the category of fatal diseases in the chronic category, when long-term treatment allows to control the process, choose various options for redundancy schemes in a number of patients over the years.
POTENTIAL FOR IMPROVING SURVIVAL IN PATIENTS WITH METASTATIC BREAST CANCER. CLINICAL OBSERVATION
Abstract. Overall survival improvement in patients with metastatic breast cancer is still the principal treatment target in this patient group. Chemotherapy is an essential component of the combination treatment for patients with breast cancer. Until recently female patients with a disease progression developed after several lines of drug therapy were deemed to have an unfavorable prognosis. Patients with locally recurrent or advanced breast cancer having tumors with overexpression of the HER2 gene also belong to the group of patients with unfavorable prognosis. The efficiency of eribulin in combination with trastuzumab as the first line chemotherapy for patients with disease progression observed not more than 12 months after completion of neo/adjuvant chemotherapy was studied in Phase II Study in female patients with HER2-positive breast cancer. Eribulin as the first line therapy for patients with HER2-positive metastatic breast cancer ensured 71.2% of objective response rate and progression-free survival (PFS) median 11.6 months. This combination is characterized by an acceptable safety profile corresponding to that of eribulin and trastuzumab and may be an option of choice as the first line therapy for patients with HER2-positive metastatic breast cancer.
SURGICAL TREATMENT OF COLORECTAL CANCER WITH LIVER METASTASES
Abstract. In this article the authors have presented the morbidity and negligence of colorectal cancer, the average life expectancy of patients with no specific treatments of colorectal cancer with liver metastases. The experience of 77 surgeries performed on the liver during the period 2002-2015, in the Tatarstan Cancer Center, Russia, Ministry of Health. The data of short- and long-term results after operative methods which has been developed in our clinic has been presented in case of colorectal cancer with liver metastases.
PATIENT CARE WITH COLORECTAL CANCER COMPLICATED BY AN ACUTE OBSTRUCTIVE ILEUS
Abstract. The article reflects the experience of the treatment of acute obstructive intestinal obstruction in patients with colorectal cancer. Surgical care was provided under oncological dispensary in 2 surgical departments of the same profile. When carrying out emergency operations as well as planned operations, all the principles of cancer treatment were taken into account, as in elective surgery. All the high quality standards were used in order to treat the patients with complicated intestinal obstructions. As per the standards, patients with intestinal obstructions are treated in two steps. In first, the tumor is resected with the formation of colostomy. In second step, the colostomy is reconstructed. Obtained, in our opinion, a satisfactory treatment outcome, despite the fact that most of the patients came in critical condition, with many days of acute intestinal obstruction, more than half of whom were over 70 years old.
GOLDEN THREAD OF HISTORY
Abstract. Department of Oncology, radiology and palliative medicine was opened in the Kazan State Institute for improvement of doctors named after V.I. Lenin in 1946 and was called the Department of surgery and Oncology. Heads of Department were professors Yu.A. Ratner, M.Z. Sigal, R.M. Taziev. Currently the Department is headed by the rector of the Academy, the chief oncologist of MH of RT and Volga region, Director of the Volga Region branch of N.N. Blokhin Russian Cancer Research Center, Professor R.Sh. Khasanov. The development and improvement of combined, extended and plastic surgical interventions, the introduction of endoscopic technologies for the treatment of malignant tumors, development of new scientific directions ― oncoendocrinology, oncopsychology, palliative medicine, new concepts of radiotherapy, the development of modern information technologies for organization of cancer services ― today department. The number of employees grew from 5 to 22, including 8 professors, doctors of sciences.
RECONSTRUCTIVE OPERATIONS ON MAIN VESSELS IN ONCOLOGY
Abstract. Despite the improvement of the approaches in the diagnosis of soft tissue sarcomas and retroperitoneal sarcomas, still retained a fairly high number of patients with widespread (stage 3-4) disease. Locally common soft tissue sarcoma of the extremities and retroperitoneal space are often involved in tumor infiltration of the main vessels. Currently, with the introduction of complex treatment increased the proportion of organ-preserving surgical interventions, expanded indications for surgeries in cases of tumor involvement in the process of the great vessels.

Abstract. During medical and genetic counseling of representative of the tatar nationality group with anamnesis of breast cancer and ovarian cancer, as well as a family history of cancer in exon 10 of BRCA1 gene was detected nucleotide substitution s.915T>A in heterozygous state. With direct sequencing method were automatically analyzed exons 2, 4, 5, 10, 12-17 and adjacent intronic regions of BRCA1 gene. This replacement is not described in the databases BRCA Share, Breast Cancer Information Core database, LOVD, HGMD Professional and can be classified as previously not published disease-causing mutation leading to premature termination of translation.

Abstract. We analysed video-assisted thoracoscopy (VATS) in diagnosing and treatment of esophagus leiomyoma (LE). 15 VATS esophagus operations were performed in Tatarstan Cancer Center from 1997 to 2015 concerning leiomyoma. The average age is 48,1 (26-74). Mostly men have been operated ― 9 people, women ― 6 people. Among these leiomyoma has been localized in 2 patients in the upper esophagus, in 10 patients ― in the middle part, and in 3 patients ― in the lower part. Postoperative lethality hasn’t been observed. Conversion wasn’t needed. Showing the technical aspects of surgery. They discussed the results of the postoperative period.
