SURGICAL ASPECTS OF NEPHRON-SPARING IN LOCALIZED KIDNEY CANCER

Abstract. Nephron-sparing surgery on kidneys is a standard surgical treatment in localized renal cell carcinoma. Anatomico-physiological grounding of the surgery is about keeping renal function due to preserving nephron number which is particularly actual if there are chronical renal disorders or a solitary kidney. Despite a number of various methods onset (laparoscopic, robotic), the main surgical aspects of such interferences are reasoned by histo- and angioarchitecture of the organ as well as by the intercourse of its main structures with the carcinoma.  This prospect development in oncology is in the direction of injury reduction with oncological results preserving. There has been an attempt in the work to summarize the on the problem scientific literature data which are about main criteria of satisfactory effect when treating any oncological disease including renal cancer.
