Abstract. Cervical cancer (CC) is a preventable disease when diagnosed early at the precancerous stage. Since the introduction of the National Cervical Cancer Screening Program in Kazakhstan in 2008, the detection rates of this disease, including its early stages, have increased. However, cervical cancer mortality rates remain high, primarily due to delays in treatment or the use of ineffective treatment methods for this pathology. The aim of this study is to assess the epidemiological situation regarding the prevalence of cervical cancer and HPV, the main cause of the disease, in the Republic of Kazakhstan compared to global data. To evaluate the current state of the problem, we conducted a systematic search for studies published on this topic in the PubMed and eLIBRARY databases.
