Abstract. Zenker’s diverticulum is a rare disease that develops more often in old age and occurs in 1,5-5% of all esophageal diverticula. Men get sick 2-3 times more often than women. On the territory of the republic, the surgical method is predominantly used in the treatment of Zenker’s diverticulum, but with the development of endoscopy, a minimally invasive method is being introduced into practice ― endoscopic diverticuloesophagostomy with upper esophageal myotomy in a combined method. Endoscopic treatment of Zenker’s diverticulum in Russia has undergone several stages of development and aims to create a common cavity between the esophagus and the diverticulum to prevent the accumulation of food and create favorable conditions for its passage through the esophagus. Open surgical and endoscopic transoral treatment of Zenker’s diverticulum provide symptomatic relief in 94-100% of patients. On the basis of the surgical thoracic department №2 of the Republican Clinical Hospital for the first time in the Republic of Tatarstan, oral endoscopic diverticuloesophagostomy was successfully performed using a combined method in 3 patients diagnosed with Zenker’s diverticulum. The postoperative period was uneventful. The patients were discharged in satisfactory condition on the fourth day.
