Abstract. The article presented an overview of the classification of non-Hodgkin malignant lymphomas, gives the 5th International Classification of this disease, describes the main histological features, including lines of B- and T/NK-cells. Characteristic immunophenotypic evidence and common cytogenetic changes are described in detail. In addition to listing the objects of classification, changes from the revised 4th edition are highlighted.
