Abstract. Due to the spread of early diagnosis cancer of prostate the number of patients who have stages I and II of the disease. The development of technology gives increasing interest in organ-preserving techniques such as radiation therapy and its varieties in contact radiation therapy, low-dose and high-dose brachytherapy This article describes the main indications and contraindications for low-power brachytherapy and the experience of treating 98 patients at the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Clinical Oncology Center.
