Abstract. This article presents a review of the literature on spinal arachnoid cysts. Theories of the origin and clinical picture of these diseases are presented. Classifications of spinal arachnoid cysts are described in detail. An important role is assigned to the methods of diagnosis and treatment of this pathology.
