TREATMENT OF RECURENCES OF THE OROPHARYNX TUMORS AFTER CHEMORADIATION

Abstract. The paper is dedicated to guideline directions in the treatment of the oropharynx cancer and contain information about results of treatment of the 65 patients with recurrences (60%) and rudimentary tumors (40%). We try to describe the problem questions of scope of surgery, reconstruction, and access in surgery. In results: the overall survival in group with rudimentary tumors consist 68,4% in relation to patients with recurrences after chemoradiation ― 50,2%. And tumors with location on the soft palate have worse prognosis (o.s. ― 30%) in relation to side wall oropharynx tumors (o.s. ― 64,6%) and base of tongue tumors (57,2%).
