Abstract. The aim of the research was to study the prevalence of respiratory and general symptoms in patients with lung cancer by means of an automated system “Electronic Polyclinic”. 31 patients with lung cancer were examined. The control consisted of practically healthy persons in the number of 90 respondents. The survey plan included an online questionnaire with the help of respiratory and oncological modules of the automated system “Electronic Polyclinic” (Certificate No. 2012614202 as of May 12. 2012), available in the Internet (http://klinikcity.ru). The diagnosis of lung cancer was histologically verified, made by a thoracic surgeon, and all patients were consulted by an oncologist. As a result of the study, high operational characteristics of the online questionnaire method were established using the automated system “Electronic Polyclinic” with calculation of cancer risk indexes and patterns of both respiratory symptoms (shortness of breath, cough, spitting of blood) and general symptoms (general weakness and reduced physical activity).

The conclusion is made about the possibility of using an online questionnaire in the practice of preliminary diagnosis of lung cancer, including for the preparation of an individual in-depth examination of the patient.

Key words: lung cancer, online questionnaire, early diagnosis.
