Abstract: The article presents the organization of the work of the oncological service in the Nizhny Novgorod region, basic statistical indicators, conducted by the oncological cliniс, introduction of new diagnostic methods, antitumor treatment and their results. Trends in morbidity, mortality, active detectability, early diagnostics, and neglect were studied. Based on the results of the analysis, organizational measures and main directions for improving the system of medical care for cancer patients in the Nizhny Novgorod region were developed.
